Join the Lab

Thank you for your interest in our science and our mission. We are always looking for motivated individuals from all backgrounds interested to work with us on stimulating projects to push the boundaries of R-loop and RNA biology.

Please see below how you can join our team.

We are fully committed to training you and supporting you to reach your dream job.

Postdoctoral candidates: Highly motivated individuals interested to explore emerging roles of R-loops and RNA in gene expression and gene expression and genomic integrity using multidisciplinary tools such as cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, sequencing, and other biochemical and biophysical tools should reach out directly to Charles with a CV and a brief statement of interest. We have several opportunities for candidates with no more than four years of postdoctoral experiences.

Emory Graduate students:  If you are interested to rotate in our lab or join our team, please reach out to Charles to discuss potential projects and your research interests and goals. We accept trainees from the Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology (BCDB) and Genetics and Molecular Biology (GMB) programs.

Undergraduates: If you are an undergraduate at Emory University in a relevant field (chemistry, biochemistry, biology etc) please reach out directly to Charles. We always have paid opportunities to get hands-on experience in the lab.

Research specialists: If you recently completed your undergraduate studies and are interested to get more research experience before applying to graduate programs, please email Charles. These are unique opportunities to do full-time research on an independent project in the lab.

Prospective graduate students: If you are interested to pursuing your graduate work with us, please apply to the Laney Graduate School and indicate your interest in joining our lab. We participate in the BCDB and GMB programs.
